New Year's Resolutions for Writers

Well, it's 2010! It's a new year! It's a new decade! Did you make any resolutions? If you're a writer, did you make any writerly resolutions? Maybe something like:
  • Make time to write
  • Overcome writer's block
  • Complete an unfinished work
  • Keep a journal
  • Write a novel
  • Submit work
Personally, I'm not big on resolutions. I don't wait till the new year to decide to change things in my life. I'm a little more impatient, and have to change things and do things right away. I'm still figuring out my goals for this year, but I'd love to hear your resolutions!
So tell me: What are your hopes for this year? What do you want to achieve?

Hi Steph,

Resolutions - not so much. Goals - definitely. I compiled and bound a Writing Planner for this coming year complete with regular specific blog topics to write on ( so I'm not scratching around for something to write about) competitions and important writing events pencilled into the year's calendar as well as some of my favourite articles to give me a boost when I need it.

2010rganised - is how I am hoping to be this year. Fingers crossed!

Hope you New Year is fabulous.

I'm just looking forward to a good year where I write a lot and enjoy my friends. (And watch my first novel march toward publication, almost exactly one year from today.)
